CES, the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies and considered the Super Bowl for global consumer electronics and consumer technology, takes place in Las Vegas every January.
CES 2023 will showcase 175+ sessions that emphasize progress in AI and robotics, environment and sustainability, metaverse and gaming, digital health, smart home and lifestyle, vehicle tech and advanced mobility, home entertainment and streaming, and more.
CES 2022 was the first event organised by the US Consumer Electronics Association (CTA) since early 2020, and the show was different from the usual biggest tech event of the calendar. CES 2023 is expected to be a bumper year with everyone getting back into the swing of normal life, and already many announcements about the show have been made. Here is what to expect and all the necessary information.
When is CES 2023?
On Thursday 5 January 2023, CES will begin, extending until Sunday 8 January. Most of the announcements are anticipated to occur on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 January, which are designated for the press, analysts and media. Some manufacturers will hold their own events outside of the official CES events, and others will announce their CES plans in late December.
Who attends CES?
The CES industry event allows only those connected to the consumer electronics industry to attend, and in 2019 saw a record attendance of 182,000 people, including 69,000 exhibitors from over 4,000 companies, and almost 7,000 media members. It is anticipated that the 2023 show will be on the same scale.
What to expect from CES 2023
Many companies use CES as their first chance to demonstrate their products for the upcoming year and to introduce new technologies. Even though big brands usually take center stage, smaller companies can also use this opportunity to display either remarkable creations or items that may never be seen again.
